📐Transition Zone Setup

  • 💪

    Burpee Lane

Taped 2 m line or beer-box to hop over

  • 🍺

    Beer Table

    Measured pints (plastic only)

  • 🎯

    Darts Station

Oche at 2.37 m; board center at 1.73 m (standard bristle board)

💪Burpee Standard

Hand-Release, Over Line/Box

Each rep:

  1. Hands and chest touch ground; hands visibly lift off at bottom.
  2. Stand fully (hips/knees extended).
  3. Two-foot hop over the line/box.
  4. That hop completes the rep; next rep starts from the other side, facing the line/box.

No-rep reasons:

No hand release, chest not down, no full extension, stepping instead of hopping, landing on the line/box, bypassing over-the-top travel. Judges call no-reps live; missed standards incur penalties.

🍺Beer Standard

Measure: 1 pint (plastic cup with a fill line), recommend 4–4.5% ABV.

Process: Pick up only after finishing burpees. Must be finished inside the transition zone.

Spillage: Intentional dumping is DQ. Minor foam run-off tolerated. You cannot leave if beer remains in the cup.

Vomit: See penalties.

🎯Darts Standard

  • 3 darts per lap, thrown after beer.
  • Standard board scoring; doubles/triples count.
  • Fallen darts score zero. Foot must remain behind the oche.
  • Darts must be thrown before exiting to the run; judges record lap score immediately.

⚠️Penalties

InfractionPenalty
Burpee no-rep+3 s per missed/invalid rep (and athlete must make up reps if caught live)
Leaving transition without finishing pint+60 s and athlete must immediately return to finish pint before darts
Intentional spill/dump of beerDQ
Vomiting anywhere, anytime+60 s per occurrence
Darts foot fault (over oche)That dart scores 0
Skipping a hurdle+10 s per missed hurdle
Interference/unsportsmanlike conduct+30 to +120 s or DQ (Head Judge)
Wrong course/short lapLap invalid; redo lap or DQ

🧮Scoring System

Final ranking is by Adjusted Time (seconds). Lower is better.

  1. Base Time (T): official finish time in seconds.
  2. Darts Bonus (B): total dart points across 4 laps.
    • Conversion: 0.10 s bonus per point, capped at 60 s total bonus.
  3. Penalties (P): sum of all time penalties.
Adjusted Time = T − min(B × 0.10, 60) + P

Tie-breakers:

  1. Higher total darts points
  2. Fewer penalties
  3. Fastest raw Lap 4 split
  4. Sudden-death: 6 darts, highest score wins

Adjusted Time Calculator

📊Scoring Examples

Example A (Full Pint)

  • T = 10:42 → 642 s
  • B = 178 → 17.8 s bonus
  • P = 2 burpee no-reps (6 s) + 1 vomit (60 s) = 66 s
  • Adjusted = 642 − 17.8 + 66 = 690.2 s (11:30.2)

Example B (Half Pint)

  • T = 12:05 → 725 s
  • B = 260 → 26.0 s bonus
  • P = 0
  • Adjusted = 725 − 26 = 699 s (11:39)

⏱️Heats & Throughput

  • Heats of 3–5 athletes every 8–10 minutes.
  • Staging: next heat queues while prior heat is on Lap 2+.
  • In transition, assign numbered burpee lane, beer slot, darts board position per athlete.
